What is Electrostatic Spray?

Furplast’s Electrostatic Spray process uses electrically charged coating particles to deliver a high-performance finish on metal (and compatible) surfaces. During application, the thermoplastic powder coating is electrostatically charged and directed onto the grounded surface—this results in a smooth, even coating that hugs the surface, even on complexly shaped or recessed areas.

Why Choose Electrostatic Spray?

Uniform Coverage & Premium Finish

The electrostatic charge ensures the coating envelops the object, reaching edges, corners, and hidden parts for a flawless, factory-quality finish.

High Material Efficiency & Cost Savings

Up to 100% of the coating adheres to the surface, reducing waste and cost of thermoplastic coating material. Under-cabinet powder coatings can be used again and again.

Durability & Long Life

Thermoplastic coatings provide high resistance to corrosion, abrasion, chemical attack, UV and moisture; ideal for industrial equipment, outdoor applications or metal parts that will be used in harsh conditions.

Efficient and Cost-Effective Production

Faster application, reduced need for multiple coats or touch-ups, less cleanup and maintenance — which saves time and labor.

Environmentally Friendly & Cleaner Process

Overspray is reduced; solvent-free powder coatings (VOC=0) are used, reducing both environmental and employee health harm. These coatings are free of TGIC, heavy metals, carcinogenic oils, and bisphenols.

Applications

Furplast Electrostatic Spray is especially suitable for:

Metal components and structures (frames, chassis, housings)
Any project requiring high-quality finish, durability, and efficient coating
Industrial machinery and equipment
Outdoor or exposed metal parts requiring corrosion and wear resistance

How We Work

Surface Preparation: Surfaces are cleaned and prepared to ensure optimal adhesion.
Electrostatic Coating Application: Using advanced electrostatic spray equipment, the powder is charged and sprayed onto the surface, and the coating is evenly distributed.
Melting: If coating is required, a surface film is created, resulting in a durable and long-lasting coating.
Quality Control: Each piece is inspected for coating thickness, uniformity, adhesion, and finish quality.
